The Four Seasons Bahrain Bay is now open and accepting reservations. To celebrate the opening they’ve got an introductory offer along with a bed and breakfast option.

Situated on a 12-acre man-made private island about 15 minutes away from the airport, the 273 room hotel has a total of 68 floors. There are 7 restaurants and lounges (3 of which are by Wolfgang Puck), and 24-hour room service. Perusing the options, I found that there’s also a 24-hour 15 minute express option which seems perfect for when you just want a quick sandwich.

Introductory rates start at BHD 130 a night (about 345 USD) for their basic “Superior” rooms. BHD 169 includes breakfast for two in the hotel’s Bahrain Bay Kitchen restaurant.

Looking at room types, they start at a generous 506 square feet and go all the way up to 2,454 square feet in the Royal Suite.

Four Seasons’ website says that valet and self-park are both options and that fees apply, but it hasn’t been updated to include pricing just yet.

The 5 swimming pools include a salt water pool, kiddie pool, indoor lap pool and two outdoor resort style pools. The pools sure look like an oasis, and there is reportedly even an air-conditioned cabana!

The hotel’s spa is one of the largest Four Seasons spas in the world, consisting of 17 treatment rooms spread across 4 interconnected buildings. There are two fitness centers with one reserved for women only.

The hotel boasts about the 180 degree Arabian Gulf and Manama skyline views, but there have already been complaints from guests staying during the soft opening that the building design is not warm and inviting but too tall and and a bit of an eyesore. Others rave about the “H” design.

What do you think about the building design, does it fit right in?
