InterContinental Hotels Group has introduced their first Kimpton property in Europe (and the first outside of the Americas).

Opened in late May, the Kimpton De Witt is located in Amsterdam, near the city’s central train station which is conveniently just a 15 minute ride away from Amsterdam’s Schipol Airport.

The property has 274 guest rooms, including 9 signature suites.

It looks like rates start around 210 USD per night for the lowest room type which has around 204 square feet.

Right now Kimpton is offering a Grand Opening special to kick off their new Europe property.

The offer includes:

10% off the Best Available Rate
20 euro food and beverage credit per day per room
Fresh flowers in the room
Late check out

You must book 5 days before arrival.

Here’s a link to the Grand Opening offer page (there’s also an introductory meeting offer).

The rooms at the property look cozy and fresh, according to the website photos. Guest rooms all come with Gaiam yoga mats.

The top end options at the property include the two-story Penthouse De Witt suite with a private roof terrace.

There’s also a special separate intriguing suite that would be my first pick at the property, called the “Little House”. The historical suite touted as a house within a hotel has three stories, one bedroom with a King bed, another with a Twin bed, and a living room. Once the childhood home of Dutch Renaissance playwright P.C. Hooft, the suite includes a spiral staircase and comes with a fireplace.

There aren’t any good photos of the suite up on Kimpton’s website yet, so I look forward to seeing more.

The hotel has a complimentary tea station where you can enjoy a refreshing cup all day, a lobby courtyard, 3 restaurants, and a fitness center.

Reportedly up next is a Kimpton in Paris.
