Fairmont Hotels Amex Free Consecutive Night Plus $25 Credit

Fairmont Hotels is running a promotion in conjunction with American Express. If you book a stay at a participating Fairmont property using any American Express card before December 31, 2014 for stays through March 31, 2015 you’ll get a free consecutive night plus a $25 hotel credit to be used at the time of the stay. There is a minimum stay required between 3 and 6 nights, depending on property.

Using the sample dates of February 12 to 15th, 2015 at the Swissotel property in Chicago, the rate came to an average of $179 a night, or $119 spread over all three. The promotion is good for all room types, including suites.

The best available rate for those same dates was exactly the same, without the free night or $25 credit.

The good thing about this promo is that the cancellation policy is the same as that for regular bookings, so cancellation at 24 hours in advance incurs no penalty.
