Hilton Welcomes The Highland Dallas as a new Curio Property
After a change in ownership, Hilton welcomed The Highland Dallas this week under their newest Curio brand. Formerly called Hotel Palomar Dallas, all existing reservations will be transferred over so Hilton HHonors guests can start earning points right away.
Their website isn’t updated just yet to show the redemption category, and contacting both the property and even Hilton HHonors didn’t help. They don’t know what category this property will be, and don’t have an idea of when redemptions will be available.
Checking upcoming best available rates they seem to be decent starting the week of August 24, around $161 a night and then dropping to $144 Â through mid-September.
The location is right across the street from Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s Mockingbird Station, and the hotel offers complimentary bicycles as well.
First opened in the 1960’s as a “Hilton Inn”, the hotel was known for its popular Polynesian tiki room. The hotel will keep its steakhouse “Knife”, spa “Exhale”, heated outdoor pool, 24 hour fitness center, and pool bar.
According to their website, nearby attractions include NorthPark Center shopping mall, the Dallas Museum of Art, Majestic Theatre, Dallas Theatre Center, The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum and White Rock Lake.
Here’s a booking link to The Highland Dallas.
Any guesses on where this hotel will land on the Hilton HHonors category chart for redemptions?
