New Virgin Hotels Website Live and Taking Reservations for Chicago
After months of anticipation Virgin Hotels has just launched their new website and their first property in Chicago has started accepting reservations for arrivals on January 15, 2015.
Testing a few dates including opening night, I found that their introductory offer starts at $215.
Virgin calls their guest rooms “Chambers”, which will include a large vanity area, free fast WiFi, minibar snacks at reasonable prices, and a hallway, closet, and bathroom combined into one area with privacy sliding doors that separate the bedroom. One of the things I’m most curious about is their beds. Here’s the verbiage used on their website –
It reminds me of one of those Sleep Number beds seen advertised on late-night TV, but it could also mean an extremely comfortable bed that is great for sleeping, working, reading, etc.
Here’s a link to their website.

There’s also no delivery charge for room service, and Virgin Hotels Chicago will have 4 different restaurant options – Miss Ricky’s which is an American diner, a Rooftop Bar, Two Zero Three that is a “Euro-style” coffee bar by day and wine bar by night, and The Commons Club restaurant. Here’s a bit from the website on food offerings at The Commons Club –
I’ll skip the pig sticks with root beer glaze, thank you, though the rest sounds great!
Still to come is the spa due to open in the spring, and a mobile app launching in December which looks promising. Supposedly you’ll be able to make temperature adjustments to your room, order room service, and have valet bring your car around.
One of the coolest parts of their website is a map pinpointing the location of the hotel, along with suggestions for meals, shopping, and things to do.
Richard Branson thinks big, and I’m looking forward to seeing his newest brainchild. Will you try out Virgin Hotels?
