Leading Hotels Sweepstakes, Shopping Discount and a Spa Credit
Leading Hotels of the World in conjunction with ShopBAZAAR, StyleSeat, Spring and Frye is running a sweepstakes in honor of Mother’s Day. The winner will get all kinds of goodies, and entry is so simple all it takes is an email address. All entrants automatically get $30 off their next Spring purchase of $100 or more too.

All entries must be received by 11:59pm PT May 3, 2015.
Since the email came from Leading Hotels of the World, I automatically assumed the $30 off mentioned in the email was for a future hotel stay.
After submitting my email for entry, I was puzzled since I was simply taken to a confirmation page.
I thought to myself, “without a promotional code, how will Leading Hotels know that I’m eligible for $30 off my next purchase of $100 or more?”
I looked back at the email and at the bottom it said, “Hotel Blackout dates: May 22-24, July 1-31, August 1-14, September 4-6, November 26-29, December 18-31. Redemption subject to availability.” That looked like a hotel promotion to me.
A few minutes later I received a confirmation email for my entry.
Reading the email closely, I realized I had been duped. The wording said, “All entrants will receive $30 off their next Spring purchase of $100 or more”.
The $30 off wasn’t for my next purchase during springtime, it was for use on Springshop, a mobile shopping app.
Still cool, but as a travel nut I would have much preferred the hotel discount.
What about the hotel blackout dates, you ask? They are part of a separate promotion that Leading Hotels mentioned in the same email.
That one is for a $100 spa credit per person per stay when booking a Leading Hotels property by May 7, 2015.
