Global Hotel Alliance is having a flash sale with up to 50% off the best available rate for bookings made in the next 48 hours. Stay dates vary by country but seem to be between now and November. There are some blackout dates, but rates are refundable and some include breakfast. Using Norway as an example since everything just seems more expensive there, I pulled up the list of properties on sale.

All of them offered 50% for stays between August 1-31, 2015 and then there were additional dates in October as well.

Selecting the Thon Hotel Oslofjord for the date of August 15-16, 2015 the rate came back as NOK 498 (64 USD) which is a really good deal.

Another example of the sale is at the Anatara Bangkok Sathorn.

Looking at a random Saturday night (September 12, 2015) the rate came to 2340 THB, or around 69 USD.

Anatara’s best available rate via their website directly was 92 USD, and the lowest I could find on other 3rd party booking engines was 87 USD. Plus, the fully-refundable sale rate included breakfast.

Where this sale is great is that it does not require prepayment in order to receive the promotional rate, and bookings can be cancelled until the day of arrival.
