SPG Hot Escapes Great Picks for October 28, 2015

SPG’s weekly Hot Escapes is out, and here’s the full list of properties offered along with some of Magic of Miles’ great picks for October 28, 2015.

The list is a little slim this time, and while we saw over 100 properties in the US alone last week the total number of properties worldwide this week is just over 50. There aren’t a ton of hotels offered at great rates either but that is to be expected as we move into the holiday season.

For those new to Hot Escapes, each Wednesday properties are added and can be booked by that Saturday for stays throughout the following six weeks. SPG members also save an extra 5% off rates and earn points for the stay. The only downside to Hot Escapes reservations is that they are prepaid, and if you cancel or change a fee is involved.

Magic of Miles’ great picks for October 28, 2015 –

St Regis Sanya Yahong Bay Resort in China is at $156.

I can’t recall seeing the St Regis Singapore on the list in the past year, and this week it is offered at $239.

Sheraton Brussels Hotel isn’t an outstanding property but it is worth the $78 a night. Note that it is often on this list for $10 less though.

One of SPG’s luxury alternatives to the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome is Prince de Galles in Paris, France. It is on the list this week at $444. Still expensive, yes. But if you’re deliberating between the two and using cash, this is a solid alternative.

King George in Athens, Greece is offered at $170 this week, while the Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville Spain is at $180.

The Sheraton Heathrow Hotel in London is offered at $74, which is good if you just need a hotel for an overnight layover.

Speaking of airports, if you need to stay the night before a flight in Buffalo NY, the Aloft is offered at $90.
