Free FitStar Full Personal Trainer App Access With Westin
Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced that Westin has entered into a partnership with FitStar by Fitbit.
Working out while traveling is not easy, and Westin is trying to make it more fun. For those not familiar, FitStar offers customizable workout videos that can be watched via AirPlay on TV, and there’s an app on iOS and Android that can be used on a tablet or phone.
Reviews of the FitStar app are generally really good, and the paid “full” version is typically $7.99 a month or $39.99 a year.
Here’s a video about Westin’s new partnership –
Part of the partnership between Westin and FitStar includes a free unlimited 30 day trial access to FitStar Premium with all Freestyle sessions and personalized trainer, including the new “Stay Fit with Westin” session. The new Westin session offers specific exercises geared towards travelers that might have tight lower backs or tired arms and legs.
– Between now and June 30, 2016 you get free access to FitStar Personal Trainer
– Between July 1, 2016 and January 31, 2017 you get free access to FitStar Yoga
If you already have a Fitbit device you can also see your FitStar workouts on the app, and can use your same Fitbit login to set up the FitStar account.
The partnership goes along with Westin’s Well-Being Movement focused on inspiring guests to stay healthy while on the road.
The FitStar Personal Trainer is being offered at all Westin properties worldwide except for some located in China, Japan and Taiwan.
The promotion says that registration information for the free offer will be given to hotel guests, probably upon check-in.
Here are the Terms & Conditions: Offer is valid for FitStar Personal Trainer and FitStar Yoga. FitStar Personal Trainer promotion must be redeemed by June 30, 2016 at 11:59 pm PST. The FitStar Yoga promotion must be redeemed after July 1, 2016 12:01 am PST and before January 31, 2017 11:59 pm PST. Promotion is exclusively for new FitStar Personal Trainer Premium users and does not apply to current subscribers. Offer cannot be combined with other discounts or exchanged for equivalent cash value. Terms are subject to change.
I think this is a great way to check out the full features of this app without having to pay, and it is another way to help stay in good shape while on the road. Have you used the FitStar app before? If not, would you try it during Westin’s promotion?
