Universal Studios Hollywood Discounted Tickets via Daily Getaways
Today is the first day of week 4 of the US Travel Association’s Daily Getaways.
For those not familiar with Daily Getaways, travel deals and packages are offered on a first-come first-served each weekday from April 4, 2016 through May 6, 2016. For a look at previous offers or to learn more about the Daily Getaways click here.
Today’s deals are for Universal Studios Hollywood tickets –
Four 2-day Universal Studios Hollywood admission tickets for $500 (84 packages available)
The packages go on sale at 1pm EST today.
To purchase the deals today, click the individual links above or follow this link to the calendar for the week of April 18, 2016 and select the package you are interested in.
Tickets must be used by May 26, 2017. Once you purchase, you need to email USHSWEEPS@nbcuni.com per the Daily Getaways page details. Within two weeks of your email, you will receive the tickets via email that you can print and use for admission. They request you give at least 30 days notice before your visit.
If you were to purchase tickets directly from Universal Studios Hollywood’s website, the general admission price per day varies but is generally between $90 and $110 per person if you choose a specific date. Selecting the random date of Saturday, July 26, 2016 the price was $105 per person for a total of $420, for one day.
As the deal is two nights for 4 for just $500, that’s a really good deal. Plus, with the Daily Getaways package you don’t necessarily have to use the tickets for 2 consecutive days. The terms & conditions say that the second day must just be within 7 days of the first day’s visit. This way you could go on two separate weekends if you can only spare a day at a time, or customize the park visits according to your schedule.
Note that you can purchase a season pass directly through Universal Studios Hollywood’s website for $119 per person, or $476 for four.
Although the price is less than the Daily Getaways 2-day passes and you can go a lot more often, your first visit must be by June 30, 2016. There are also some serious blackout dates that cover most of June, all of July, and most of August, so if you want to visit during the summer months make sure to check the calendar to make sure the dates you want to go aren’t blacked out. California residents and those belonging to Costco or other discount clubs often have special ticket discounts available too so it is worth checking there as well.
