A Chocoholic’s Favorite Hotel
If you can’t get enough of all things chocolate, you might want to check out the Chocolate Boutique Hotel in the United Kingdom.
The hotel was purchased by a family that got into the chocolate business in 2004. The Wilton family started renting out chocolate fountains and wanted to expand their chocolate business, thus snapping up the hotel in 2007.
There are 13 chocolate themed rooms with chocolate colored towels, chocolate photos on the wall, and for a small fee (25 £) your room  can even come with your own chocolate fountain at the foot of the bed. If a personal chocolate fountain at the foot of your bed isn’t dangerous for chocoholics, I don’t know what is!
The bar serves chocolate drinks (“choctails”) and cocktail making classes, and the hotel offers chocolate cooking classes. You can learn how to make chocolate truffles, paint a chocolate portrait, and create chocolate Stiletto shoes.
Because of the fun atmosphere, there are packages for girls’ weekends away as well as romantic weekend stays. The hotel sells chocolate inspired bathrobes, matching shoes and handbags, and gift hampers that read like a Dean & Deluca treat basket.
Here’s what you get in the Deluxe Chocolate Hamper (which you can enjoy in your guestroom, naturally) –
1 bottle of Rubis chocolate wine
1 bottle of award winning Cava – exclusive to the hotel
1 bag of white chocolate champagne truffles
1 bag of dark chocolate truffles
1 giant heart slab of milk, decorated
3 400grm bags of chocolate buttons (white, dark, milk)
1 tin of chocolate paint
1 roll of hand made chocolate salami
1 chocolate marshmallow slab
1 chocolate lipstick
4 chocolate shot glasses
4 bars of designer chocolate
I don’t even know what chocolate salami is, but the hamper has it included.
A refundable single room starts at 65 £ (about 85 USD) and includes wifi and breakfast with chocolate pancakes.
Here’s a link to their booking website.
I’m not necessarily a chocoholic but after writing this I’m quite hungry. Cookies, anyone?
