Hilton Partners With Ugg for Winter Wonderland Offer Down Under

Even though those of use in the US are looking for cool relief from a swimming pool or watermelon, down under in Melbourne, Australia the weather is a bit chillier since it is their winter season (currently in the low 40’s and rainy).

Hilton has partnered with sheepskin manufacturer Ugg Australia to bring some cozy wintertime warmth to one room at a couple properties in Melbourne from July 4 – August 31, 2016. The SnUGGly (get it?) rooms will have new items from Ugg’s collection, and the rooms will be decked out with fleece pillows, cozy sheepskin rugs on the floor, bed and walls, twinkly lights, and faux snow. Faux snow, twinkly lights and Ugg sheepskin throws? It’s almost enough for me to turn down the A/C and throw some logs in the fireplace. Hopefully the rooms come with fleecy Ugg slippers too.

The Hilton Melbourne South Wharf – $298 a night
DoubleTree Hilton Melbourne Flinders Street – $219 a night

The Winter Wonderland package includes breakfast for two, a winter treat at turndown, themed DVD’s, and a welcome tray of wintery treats.

While at the property, a special room service menu will also be offered that includes spiced pastries, mulled wine, and slow cooked meats.

Guests staying at the Winter Wonderland rooms will also get a 10% discount at Ugg Australia’s Little Collins store after their stay.

Note that it does not look like Hilton HHonors points can be redeemed for these special packages. As soon as I did a quick look for random dates and checked the box to “Use HHonors Points” (or any other rate codes such as AAA or AARP) the Winter Wonderland room disappeared and was replaced with standard room types.

I love Ugg boots and these rooms look really cozy. Even though I won’t be in Melbourne during the promotion period I would absolutely try this out if it came to a Hilton near me in December. Hopefully some readers can enjoy and the program expands!
