Baking, Plus Enter the 12 Days of Giveaways – Day 4
Today is Day 4 of Magic of Miles 12 Days of Giveaways. For full contest details click here.
Baking season is in full swing at my house, and guests with a sweet tooth are enjoying the goodies.
I got to thinking about the giveaway boxes for the 12 Days of Giveaways contest, and whether it was a good idea to include baked goods or not. It’s a smoke-free home, I use organic eggs and real butter rather than diet options, and everyone loves treats. The prize boxes are usually filled with only travel swag though, and it might seem weird or gross to get homemade fudge or brownies from someone you haven’t met.
Of course, the recent survey that DoubleTree did on cookies showed that a full 30% of US adults have re-gifted homemade cookies and passed them off as their own homemade treats.! That’s a lot higher than I would have expected.
Maybe some people would find it nice to have something to regift, glad to have something homemade, or be grossed out by the whole idea.
To enter today’s contest, let me know in the comments – what do you think about having baked goods in today’s winning prize box?
Today’s contest ends at 9pm PST December 16, 2016.
I won’t lie, I have a bit of a sweet tooth. Anything I didn’t have to make is that much better 🙂
DARN MISSED THE CONTEST BUT HOMEMADE BAKED STUFF IS GREAT
i LOVE THE IDEA OF HAVING BAKED GOODS IN THE CONTEST. YOU CAN NEVER BEAT SOMETHING THAT IS MADE WITH LOVE…ITS BETTER THAN ANYTHING ONE CAN BUY AT A STORE.
Once I start, I can’t stop. So the answer might be a “No, I don’t want baked goods” with a very slight chance of “yes, please”…
Sugar sugar sugar sugar yummy sugar yummy. Clear enough for ya? 🙂
Sounds like yummy fun!
I would say that would be delicious!
I’m on Whole 30 which means I can’t have anything with sugar besides fruits/vegetables and that’s pretty hard since everything has sugar. But if I wasn’t on it I would of say ummm hell yeah throw them in there! Cookie Monster over here!
I enjoy baking and homemade treats, but I am not sure that I would like that in a giveaway box. My husband cannot eat anything with sugar, and since we are just the 2 of us, sadly, wouldn’t work for us. The pictures were making me hungry, however…….
Having baked goods in today’s winning prize box is great. Can’t beat homemade! I was salivating looking at the pics in the intro.
Homemade is the best!
Baked Goods are great gifts!
I would love some pastries.. tasty tasty.. It’s all about holiday giving.. Molasses plane cookie? Ginger bread passports?
We’ve never turned away sweet treats!
Sadly, I have a digestive system that doesn’t allow me to eat everything. If they are gluten-free I would be so so so so happy to win a box of homemade baked goods. Pick me pick me!
Homemade anything is great! I eat anthing I can grab quick during the Christmas season.
