DoubleTree by Hilton is known for their famous, gooey, delicious cookies. They started giving them out to VIP hotel guests in the 1980’s, and today guests at all 500 DoubleTree properties are greeted at check-in with the offer of a free warm delicious chocolate chip walnut cookie. Even folks who don’t normally indulge sneak a bite of the sweet treat, and over 75,000 are given out each day.

To celebrate reaching their 500th property worldwide (which, if you’re curious, is the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York Times Square West), DoubleTree has unveiled their first cookbook.

The title of the cookbook is “We Have Cookies: Taste the World of DoubleTree by Hilton”.

Spanning the globe, the digital cookbook has 33 recipes from DoubleTree properties that use local flavors or integrate the famous DoubleTree cookie into regional specialties.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Atlanta Airport in Georgia
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Shenyang in China
DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Xishuangbanna in China
DoubleTree by Hilton Ras al Khaimah in the U.A.E.

From the Big Apple martini to a cookie-crusted rack of lamb, all the recipes call for at least one of the DoubleTree cookies. That means you’ll either have to take a few home after your stay, or make your own. The famous cookie recipe remains under wraps, but we know it has flour, walnuts, eggs, and about 20 chocolate chips per cookie.

Some of the recipes seem a bit adventurous like the cookie burger, but one of the yummiest looks to be the DoubleTree Coconut and Banana Cariari Cheesecake from the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cariari San Jose – Costa Rica.
