IHG Points on Sale with Daily Getaways Today
Daily Getaways offered by the US Travel Association has IHG Rewards Club Points on offer today.
For those not familiar with Daily Getaways, over the next four weeks, travel deals and packages will be available on a first-come first-served each weekday from April 10, 2017 through May 12, 2017. For a look at the calendar for this week, click here.
Today is Day 3, and here are the points packages available today along with purchase links –
8,500 IHG Points for $49 (1,000 packages available)
15,000 IHG Points for $89 (1,000 packages available)
25,000 IHG Points for $149 (750 packages available)
50,000 IHG Points for $299 (755 packages available)
100,000 IHG Points for $589 (2,900 packages available)
130,000 IHG Points for $749 (1,000 packages available)
To purchase points when they go on sale at 1pm EST, get your credit card ready, use the links above or follow this link to this week’s calendar for the week of April 10, 2017 and select the package you are interested in.
Last year though some IHG packages were left, many other of the Daily Getaways went quickly. If you are interested in any Daily Getaways package, my advice would be to be prepared to try to snag some right when the sale goes live if these interest you. After purchasing, the points will be deposited into your account in 10 business days. You can purchase a maximum of 3-5 points packages depending on the number of points being offered, and a total max of 24 IHG points packages across all of the offers.
Redeeming IHG points at some of the upper end properties is a great way to use these points. In fact, a couple years back, reader SJ purchased 3 of the 100,000 point packages and was able to stay at the InterContinental Le Grand Paris for a romantic anniversary.
On the lower end, you can also redeem just 5,000 for a night at one of IHG’s PointBreak properties that are on the list good through April 30, 2017, or wait until the new list comes out later this month and use them at different hotels. There are less of the high-end InterContinental properties showing up on the PointBreak lists these days, but there can still be some good properties.
Today’s sale is a reasonable opportunity to get IHG Rewards Club points below the regular purchase rate, but IHG sometimes offers a 100% bonus on purchased points so if you miss out on today’s deal you can always purchase points then for right around the same price.
