Starwood is discounting award redemptions by 35% at a select handful of their top-end properties.

The discount is good on stays through February of 2018.

Here are the properties –

Typically, you can redeem 20,000-25,000 Starpoints (depending on season) for a free night in a standard room at a Category 6 property, and 30,000-35,000 Starpoints (again, depending on season) for a free night in a standard room at a Category 7 property.

However, the properties above do not have standard rooms but rather suites and villas. Because of this, the minimum number of Starpoints needed for a free night at most of these properties is double and ranges between 60,000 and 140,000 Starpoints depending on time of year, property, etc.

To receive the 35% off when booking you must call Starwood to make the reservation over the phone, rather than simply booking online. Although the website is not yet updated, if the phone agents have difficulty finding the promotion, you might try referencing the Paradise is Closer promotion.

With the 35% off you’ll still receive the fifth night free if you book five consecutive nights at any of these properties.

I don’t know about you, but just looking at the photos of these resorts makes me want to make a couple reservations! Ordinarily a lot of these properties are a bit out of reach for many, but with the 35% discount this is a great chance to try out some of Starwood’s high-end properties.

    1. The one from 2016-17 did indeed, Jules, but View from the Wing got verification that they are running the same promotion again this year (with a few of the participating properties tweaked). Unfortunately the website isn’t updated yet even though the properties have been identified. If phone agents have difficulty finding the 35% off, the Paradise is Closer promo is the closest thing to reference right now. If I get an updated site landing page I’ll definitely point folks there.
