Disney World Hotels Now Allowing Dogs
Family trips to Disney World are about to get a lot more fun, because Disney has announced that four Disney World hotels are participating in a pilot program that will allow you to bring along your family pooch.
Not all dogs travel well, but some do, and a lot of folks love to travel with their pets. Leaving a dog reluctantly at home with a pet sitter or boarded can be a very expensive endeavor. When you are looking at a week or more you may run into anxiety issues, and the dollars keep adding up. Hotels that allow dogs can be a great option for bringing Floppy along.
Here are the Disney World properties that dogs are now welcome at, along with nightly fee –
• Disney’s Yacht Club – $75
• Disney’s Port Orleans – $50
• Disney’s Art of Animation – $50
• Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground – $50
When you check-in at these hotels with your furry family member, you’ll receive Pluto’s Welcome Kit with goodies. It includes all the things you and your doggie will need for a great stay –
• Mat
• Bowls
• Pet ID Tag
• Plastic disposable bags
• Puppy pads
• Dog-walking maps
• Door hanger to alert staff that a pet is in the room
Each hotel has designated relief areas, as well as pet exercise areas. You can also bring your dogs to doggy day care at the Disney World onsite option Best Friends Pet Care.
Please note that dogs must be leashed while in resort public areas and must be properly vaccinated.
I love this new program, and hope all goes well enough that it becomes a permanent fixture!
OH Great. Not. No one seems to be able to leave their dogs n other animals in the comfort of their own home! Too many on planes and airport lounge furniture !,,,,!!
Dee, I’m pretty ok with the dogs as long as the owners use common sense, and housekeeping staff clean up properly after them. Worse to me are passengers on airplanes that take off their socks and lay their bare feet on armrests, walls, seats, etc. Yuck!
