How to Shop Gap Right From Your Virgin Hotel Room
Do either of these scenarios sound familiar to you?
– You’ve just arrived at your hotel and have a presentation to give the next morning at a client’s office. Tapping away on your computer, you suddenly realize you forgot to pack the power shirt you meant to wear.
– Everything went well in your meetings, and you’re ready to blow off some steam and enjoy the last day at your hotel before heading home. Looking in your suitcase, you discover you’ve left your workout shorts at home.
If you’re a guest at Virgin Hotels Chicago, you’re in luck. In a new partnership with Gap apparel brand, you can shop online at gap.com and have all the clothes delivered straight to your room within 3 hours. You can then try them on, and purchase the ones you like.
Tricia Nichols, Global Lead of Consumer Engagement and Partnerships for Gap says, “Traveling can be full of unexpected surprises – weather, lost baggage or you just want something new. Through this partnership, our goal is to provide shoppers convenience, ease and on-trend fashions, all through the touch of a button.â€
Are you currently staying at Virgin Hotels Chicago?
Here’s how it works –
Choose your item online via gap.com and click, “Find it Now”
Click “Reserve in Store”, selecting either the location on Michigan Avenue or State Street.
Within an hour the hotel’s concierge will get an email or text confirming the items are ready, and they’ll contact you to confirm delivery details. They’ll then zip it right to your room within 3 hours of placing the order. If you’re out and about, the items will be hung in your closet just as if you had sent your clothes out to be dry-cleaned.
Gap and Virgin Hotels will be putting together some exclusive looks, with Virgin Hotels Chicago in the background of the promotional photos. If you’re a member of the hotel’s preferences program, The Know, they’ll also be kicking off the partnership with a special offer to redeem at Gap stores.
I love this idea. Virgin Hotels continues to innovate, and even those who are not huge fans of Gap will love the convenience factor of being able to select clothes online and have them delivered seamlessly.
