Starwood’s Summer San Diego Sale Starting at $99
San Diego can be expensive to visit, especially in the summer. Starwood in conjunction with Travelzoo is running a great summer sale for San Diego hotels booked by August 5, 2015. It is good on stays through December, with rates starting at $99. Looking at the rates, some of them are surprisingly low. Plus, some weekends and holiday periods are included in the sale too.
The only drawback is that reservations are prepaid and nonrefundable.

Using the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina as an example, I noticed that the entire week and weekend of Thanksgiving is available at the $99 rate. Selecting a random date of Saturday the 28th of November the room total came to $128, including taxes and mandatory resort fee. The resort fee includes in-room High Speed Internet Access, local and long-distance phone calls, access to tennis facilities, and one-hour rental of a bicycle, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard per day.
I really like the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, and have reviewed one of the room types which you can find here. $99 is great low rate for this property. This Sheraton has an ideal location, especially when you have an early flight the next morning. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to the airport terminals and since the airport is literally across the street you can sleep in much longer than if you were at any other hotel.
