Video: Disgruntled Guest Drives Truck Into Hotel

NBC reports that 62-year-old John Parsley from Texas was checking out from the Comfort Inn & Suites hotel in Alva, Oklahoma when his credit card was declined twice. He then had to resort to paying cash.

It’s an embarrassing situation when your credit card declines especially when it isn’t your fault, but that’s no excuse for what happened next.

Mr. Parsley got into his truck, revved the engine and drove straight into the hotel.

Watching the video you can tell it wasn’t a mistake where he might have accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake. Nope. The disgruntled guest was set on his path. I held my breath as I watched the truck barely miss hitting one of the ladies in the video.

According to Oklahoma’s local News 9 station, Rupal Christian is one of the ladies in the video, who runs the hotel with her husband. She added that he had disputed a bill that she voided, but he wasn’t satisfied.

According to News9, he said he was going to run her over –

After the incident, he told police officers that he did what he did because she thought he was bluffing.

Mr. Parsley may have proved that he wasn’t bluffing, but it cost him a trip to the local Woods County Jail on two felony counts of malicious injury to property and assault & battery with a dangerous weapon. A $1 million bond was set.
