Hotel Review: Sheraton Stockholm Hotel

The Sheraton Stockholm Hotel has a great location downtown. It’s less than a 5 minute walk from Arlanda Express (airport train), close to shopping, old town, city hall, and F12 (a Michelin Star restaurant). Even though the property has a lot of rooms (465 total), all three of my stays so far as a Platinum have resulted in suites with a view.

I had chosen the points as my Platinum welcome amenity when checking in, so once in the room, I was surprised to see a bottle of Champagne and a personal note from the GM waiting for me.

I was also happy to find a couple bottles of complimentary Acqua Panna water in the suite. 

The room had a clean, modern Scandinavian design and spacious floor plan.

The opaque drapes allowed just the right amount of natural light to come in, and there was a small table with a thoughtful bowl of fruit.

The Nespresso machine had eight choices, and was fully stocked with sugar, creamer, and stir sticks. This was great to see, since many times at hotels the most popular choices are missing and require a call to get them replaced.

The TV was positioned well, across from a comfortable seating area.

The bathroom had standard Sheraton amenities, and the typical European shower/tub combo with a little half-glass door.

The bed was comfortable, and the sheets were good quality. I slept great.

The picturesque view from the window was enthralling, and two comfortable leather seats near the window were great to relax in and look at the scenery.

The suite was located in one of the corners of the hotel and the elevators were at the opposite side. This meant a bit of a walk but no elevator noise or connecting door.

The Club Lounge located on the 7th floor had a friendly host by the name of Derek, who genuinely seemed to enjoy his job and had a great sense of humor. There was a nice spread of evening hors d’oeuvres, and Platinums were also given free breakfast buffet which usually runs $35 pp.
