Where’s Iggy? IHG Rewards Club Advent Calendar Sweepstakes
IHG Rewards Club is running an advent style contest from December 1, 2016 to December 25, 2016 with daily prizes. Each day, “Iggy” the snowman will be in a different location around the world where IHG properties are, and your job is to find him via an online game.
Unfortunately for me and many other readers, it is open only to residents ages 18 and over in the European Union (Turkey, Italy, and Russia residents excluded). However, Magic of Miles’ readers in the EU can enter, and you can still play in the US even if you cannot win.
Yes I chose to play today, because I was curious about where Iggy was hiding.
The city of Lisbon, Portugal is the one to find Iggy in today. The cursor from your computer mouse turns into a magnifying glass so you can scan the city to look closer and zoom in.
If you get stuck, click on the “need help” button at the bottom of the screen. I wanted to find him without help, but Iggy’s help icon at the bottom of the page was bouncing around as a reminder in case I needed assistance.
It took just a few minutes before I zeroed in on his whereabouts. I was then congratulated for finding him and presented with the question about how many IHG Rewards points a Le Creuset pan set goes for in the Rewards Club Redemption Catalogue. The Le Creuset pan set also happens to be today’s prize for a lucky winner.
From there, it just asked for my name and email address to complete the entry. I’m sure I could have entered my data, but because the terms & conditions state that entrants must be EU residents my entry would have been disqualified.
For those who are eligible to enter, you start out with one entry allowed per day. Plus, if you are an IHG Rewards Club member and put in your number at the time of entry, you get an extra entry. If you repost your entry to Twitter or Facebook, you get another entry. That means you can enter up to three times per day.
This has to be the cutest contest I’ve come across so far this month. With his festive scarf and cheery bright eyes, Iggy is an endearing snowman.
