Daily Getaways IHG Points On Sale Now

The Daily Getaways offered by American Express and the US Travel Association has IHG Rewards Club Points on offer today. The sale starts at 1pm EST, but while others will wait until that time to purchase you can jump the gun and get points now.

IHG Rewards Club Points were part of the Daily Getaways sale on Monday May 26, 2014 and some of the packages are still available.

15,000 IHG Rewards Club points for $100. Cost per point = .67 cents
25,000 IHG Rewards Club points for $167. Cost per point = .68 cents
50,000 IHG Rewards Club points for $325. Cost per point = .65 cents

100,000 IHG Rewards Club points for $630. Cost per point = .63 cents (note that this is the best deal, but this package is sold out from May’s date).

Using any American Express card to purchase drops your price 10% off of any of the packages.

If you’re going for the 100,000 point package or another one from May becomes sold out this morning, get your AMEX ready, follow this link to choose the package you want just before 1pm EST and try to snag some points when today’s sale goes live.

This is a good opportunity to get IHG Rewards Club points below the regular purchase rate of .7 cents per point. IHG Rewards Club points can be redeemed at any InterContinental Hotels, Hotel Indigo, Crowne Plaza Hotels, Holiday Inn Hotels, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites, Candlewood Suites, EVEN Hotels and HUALUXE Hotels.

Since IHG recently released their PointBreaks list for stays through July 31, 2014 the points could be used to redeem at these properties for just 5,000 points per night. Unfortunately, the list this time was disappointing with not a single Intercontinental property offered. These points would also be good for summer stays though at regular redemption rates, since prices tend to rise during the summer.
