First IHG EVEN Brand Hotel Opens in Connecticut

InterContinental Hotels Group has opened the first property in their new brand of wellness-focused EVEN hotels, in Norwalk Connecticut. The second one in Rockville, MD is accepting reservations for stays starting next Thursday June 26, 2014.

Two more up-and-coming EVEN properties will be located at:

West 35th St. NYC
East 44th St. NYC

A quote from IHG’s EVEN webpage, describes their new lifestyle brand, “We do more than care about your wellness – we’re inspired by it. Everything we do is designed to give you choices so you can stay well on the road. Travelers like you, are tired of having their fitness routines disrupted when traveling. That’s why we make sure you stay well while you’re away.”

Keep Active, Rest Easy, Eat Well, and Accomplish More are some the brand’s key words. To help keep travelers healthy, the hotels boast state of the art gyms, in-room workouts, eucalyptus linens, infused water & refreshing hand towels, organic and customize-able menu items, and ergonomic work spaces. I think this is move in the right direction, and it’ll be interesting to see if this trend appeals to the travelers that the brand is hoping to entice.
