Video: Hurricane Odile 1, Hotel 0

Category 3 Hurricane Odile blew through Cabo San Lucas with incredible force. Winds up to 125 mph demolished much of what was in the storm’s path, including parts of hotels and resorts. Rooms were blown out, restaurants and pool areas totaled.

The Weather Channel showed a video clip of the Hurricane caught on tape, ripping through a hotel.

What a scary situation! Guests at some properties were evacuated, and some of them tweeted about their experience. Hopefully all guests that were stranded are all safely home by now or will be there soon.

It will take lots of time and money to rebuild, and many properties are still closed. The Hilton Los Cabos has this message on their website, which is similar to many others –

Cabo San Lucas has some wonderful hotels and resorts, and we hope that the cleanup process goes quickly so they can re-open their doors soon!
