“From popping pickles to bed forts…” is how TownePlace Suites’ sweepstakes intro starts out. I don’t typically associate pickles with relaxation but their campaign purposefully exaggerates the fun of down time during work travel.

Called the Suite Break Sweepstakes, it goes on until November 30, 2014 and two winners will be randomly selected to win $500 gift cards.

The campaign’s tagline is “making extended stays less work” and the sweepstakes is aimed at….can you guess?….Millennials. (I know. After reading about the bed forts and pickles, I was thinking 4-year-olds too). TownePlace Suites wants guests to know that they can work hard and still enjoy some relaxing fun in the ways they enjoy.

Here’s how to enter –

Post a comment on TownePlace Suites’ Facebook page here describing how you like to take a break during work travel. Attaching a photo is optional but extra fun. Here’s one of their examples.

Even funnier than the bed fort was reading some of the entries for the contest. Here’s part of one –

“Towne Place Suites is my favorite brand of hotel ever. So much room, so practical yet so much luxury all in one unbelievably affordable package. If you’ve never stayed there before, your jaw will drop when you enter your suite for the first time.”

Maybe it was written tongue in cheek? Or by a member of management?

“I just play my guitar, All by my self” is another submission. Giddy-up, Cowboy.

Here’s a link to the full rules of the contest.
