BW Premier Reveals First Independent Hotel
Best Western launched a new upscale brand in October called the BW Premier Collection. The new brand looks pretty cool, and not what comes to mind when I think of Best Western. They’ve just announced the first independent property to join BW Premier Collection, and the hotel is..
..Hotel Mäster Johan in Malmö, Sweden. The Hotel Mäster Johan is a Four Star boutique hotel with 68 rooms, and is rated #1 in Malmö on Tripadvisor. For hotels to be considered for the BW Premier Collection they must maintain a AAA 3 Diamond rating or above and be in a prime location. This hotel is definitely in a great location, very close to Lilla Torg (little square) which has lots of restaurants, cafes and bars.
The breakfast buffet includes homemade yogurt, freshly baked breads, eggs, cold cuts, herring, coffee & tea. Room service is offered 24 hours a day.
Even the standard rooms have solid oak floors, specially made DUX mattresses with down quilts and pillows, and Bang & Olufsen TVs and telephones. The bathrooms all have heated floors and come with dimmer switches for the lights.

The hotel also has a sauna and gym. No word yet on the number of points needed for redemption but I’ll do an update here once I get more details.
Here’s a link to the hotel’s website.
I got tired of how useless is status at BW and how little value their points provide. So went from platinum to nothing in one year flat.
