Howard Johnson 50% Off Today Only
Howard Johnson is having a flash sale today only where you can save 50% off bookings made for 1-3 night stays through March 31, 2015 at participating properties.
The only catch is that the savings can only be had by calling the hotels directly to book. Also, only the first 5 people to book at each hotel will get the discounted rate.

I made a test call just now, to the Howard Johnson Inn San Diego Sea World. I said I wanted to stay for one night on Saturday March 14, 2015 using the Orange Wednesday discount.
The guy I spoke with at the front desk had to put me on hold for about a minute as he was helping another guest.
I’d already pulled up the best available rate on HoJo’s website for that date, which was $179.
When the guy came back on the line, he said he could offer a 50% discount so the price would be $89 including parking and breakfast. I asked if anyone else had called today to make a reservation with this promotion and he said not yet. He offered to take my Wyndham Rewards number and make the reservation. Since it was just a test, I didn’t book but thanked him and hung up.
This sounds like a great deal if you can get in on it, so if you find a property you want to stay at get dialing!
