Scottie Pippen’s Daughter Arrested at Sheraton
The Sheraton Iowa City hotel is close to Carver Hawkeye Arena, Hancher Performing Arts Center and provides easy access to sidewalk cafes, restaurants and shopping. It also happens to be located directly on the campus of University of Iowa where 20 year-old Sierra Pippen goes to school. According to The Iowa City Press-Citizen, Ms. Pippen walked into the lobby of the Sheraton late at night on Sunday, peed on the floor and left.
Iowa City Police were called, and although she is under 21 it was noted in the criminal complaint that she was wearing two bar wristbands.
The police report captured by the smoking gun says she had impaired speech and balance, bloodshot eyes and refused to take the field sobriety and Breathalyzer test. The officer also noted that she “accused me of being racist”. She was charged with public urination and public intoxication, posted the $500 bail and was released from jail.
Unfortunately this isn’t Ms. Pippen’s first brush with the law at the Sheraton Iowa City. Last month she got into a fight with hotel security and was arrested for public intoxication.
Her retired father Scottie Pippen is in the basketball Hall of Fame and won six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls. He was also on two US Olympic teams that took home gold.
Ms. Pippen seems to want to establish her own identity, and the smoking gun noted on her Twitter page she says she is “more than Scottie Pippen’s daughter”. Indeed, although notoriety for peeing on the floor of a hotel lobby may not be the best way to make a name for herself.
This story comes on the heels of another arrest for hotel urination, in an ice machine. How hard can it be to find a restroom?
