Gaylord Hotels has been planning their spectacular holiday fun for months, and has just put their holiday season packages on sale today for stays at four resorts from mid November through early January. It’s still swimming pool season right now, but for all you early bird planners out there think oversized wreaths and ornaments, Christmas lights, huge trees, restaurants, shopping, ice sculptures, multi-story ice slides, snow tubing, visits with Santa, gingerbread decorating, and poinsettias. For those who like numbers, here’s some serious counting.

One of their properties is the Gaylord Palms Resort, in Kissimmee Florida.

Packages are available from 1 to 3 nights and although a deposit is required, reservations can be changed or cancelled without penalty until 3 days before arrival.

Here’s a booking link.

Use promotional code 1GC when booking.

According to their website, the holiday package includes:

• Room accommodations
• Tickets to ICE! featuring The Nutcracker
(priority access and unlimited entry during your stay)
• Souvenir Family photo (one per room)

Using the sample date of November 21, I got a promotional price of $186 (not including tax and fees).

There was also another promotion available for $149 including a $50 resort credit per night (which can be used towards dining, room service, or spa treatments), but that didn’t include tickets to ICE! or the family photo.

non package

Pricing for ICE! is $28.99 per adult (online advance price $26.99 for seniors, $14.99 for kids 4-12) plus $2 facility fee and tax, and family photos start at $35.

There are a few more discounts on tickets too –
Florida residents get $4 off using code FLR14
For Sunday – Thursday bookings between November 23 and December 18, Marriott Rewards members get 30% off when booking before Nov. 1, 20% after that, using code MRICE14.

Here’s a booking link for just the ICE! tickets.

Even with the discounts though, the holiday package price comes out to be the lowest price if I want to include ICE! and the photo.

Here are the other Gaylord resorts with holiday sales and their booking links –

Gaylord Texan Resort (Grapevine, Texas)
Gaylord National Resort (National Harbor, Maryland)
Gaylord Opryland Resort (Nashville, Tennessee)

I traveled to Gaylord Opryland, Nashville for a convention. This place is amazing. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, as in all Marriott properties. The staff was for the most part helpful. The walk from my room to the convention center felt like it was about 1/2 mile. The hotel transportation from airport to hotel is convenient, although pricey.
