Throwing My Hat in the Ring for IHG’s Into the Nights Promotion

IHG is currently running a new version of their Big Win promotion, called Into the Nights. The promotion is more than a bit confusing since different people have received different offers, and IHG themselves didn’t really do a good job of being clear on the specifics.

But, I’m throwing my hat in the ring. View from the Wing has gotten written confirmation that the promotional free nights you can earn can be redeemed at any property (yes, even InterContinental properties) as long as there is reward availability.

Here is a link to register if you haven’t already.

My offer was simple, and the way I choose to use it is stay two nights twice (four separate reservations), get 2 free nights.

For me it means if I find a cheap Holiday Express location to stay at I can turn around and use the free nights at an InterContinental property like say, InterContinental The Clement Monterey. What offer did you get, and does it make sense for you to do yours?

20 nights, 18 stays at bonus point/breakfast rate, 3 Saturday nights, charge one night with IHG credit card, and take survey. 2 free nights with 4 of five done, All done for 50K. Minimum 20 nights or 18 stays to achieve. FORGET IT!

Carl, that sounds like an awful lot of hoops to jump through to complete, for very little return. I don’t think I’d do it if in your shoes either.

  2. Points With a Crew

I got the same offer as you and initially I was excited, but now I’m not sure. Yes, I could get 2 free nights for ~$300 or $400 and it would be “worth it”. On the other hand, my wife and I both have the IHG credit card, so we have a boatload of points PLUS 2 free night certificates anyways. So in that vein, I’m not sure.

Points, sounds like you guys are all set! 🙂

I think it’s important to note that you need to have two STAYS twice (not two two-night stays) in order to complete your promo. So, you’ll need 4 one-night or longer stays.

Indeed, it does sound easier the way I phrased it so I added parenthesis to clarify for readers. Thanks Jennifer!
