Marriott’s Autograph Collection will be adding the Davenport Hotel Collection in Washington State to its portfolio by the end of 2014.

The Davenport Hotel Collection consists of four hotels in Spokane –

The Davenport Hotel
Davenport Tower Hotel
Hotel Lusso
Grand Hotel Spokane (opening in 2015)

The Davenport Tower is located across the street from the famed Davenport Hotel, Hotel Lusso is near Riverfront Park, and the Grand Hotel Spokane will be connected to Spokane’s new Convention Center.

Not yet on Marriott’s website, I went directly to the Davenport Hotel websites to find out what prices were currently like.

Using a sample date of Saturday November 15, 2014 the Davenport Hotel’s best available rate came to $155

The Davenport Hotel is a landmark property that first opened in 1914 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It was the first hotel in the US to have a central vacuum system, air conditioning (in common areas), a pipe organ and housekeeping carts. Shut down in 1985, it was bought in 2000 and went through a multimillion dollar renovation that paid careful attention to the hand painted frescoes and ornate woodwork.

  1. That’s just great. I knew that Davenport would get sucked into some massive hotel chain, say goodbye to the reasonable prices!!

  2. The most comfortable bed(s) I have ever slept in were found at the Davenport/Davenport Tower . I frequently visited Spokane for business, and despite the fact I was Marriott Platinum and was treated exceptionally well at the Spokane Courtyard, I gave up the points and stayed here. An amazing hotel, with an amazing staff – and now it is under Marriott. I need to go back!
