A few days ago Hyatt announced exciting news that a new Park Hyatt is slated to be opened in Auckland, New Zealand in 2017. The property will be located on Halsey street looking onto the Viaduct Harbour and Te Wero bridge.

The new hotel is being built by a company based in Beijing called Fu Wah New Zealand, which will also be developing the surrounding Wynyard Quarter to include restaurants and art installations. The Park Hyatt Auckland is expected to have 190 guest rooms, three restaurants and bars, a spa, 82-foot long pool and a fitness center.

I love Park Hyatt properties, and have written about the Park Hyatt Tokyo, Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome, Park Hyatt Saigon, Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, Park Hyatt Seoul, Park Hyatt Vienna, Park Hyatt Zurich, Park Hyatt Beijing, Park Hyatt Chicago and Park Hyatt Shanghai. I’m excited about the upcoming addition to the portfolio. Will you try out the new property once it is complete?
