Virgin Flights, Virgin Hotels, and Now Virgin Cruises!

Richard Branson thinks big, and today Virgin announced that they are launching Virgin Cruises. The company will be based out of Miami and is planning to shake up the industry a little with Virgin’s signature style and service.

At the helm as CEO will be Tom McAlpin, who was the former CEO of The World, Residences at Sea. Two new cruise ships will be built, but there’s no word on the launch date yet.

With an average size of 140 square feet, the cruise ship floating hotel room doesn’t sound too appealing to everyone though. I’m excited to be taking my first family cruise later this month and will report back on what I think of those teeny tiny floating hotel rooms!

Two new cruise ships will be built for Virgin Cruises, but there’s no word on the launch date yet. Have you been on a cruise before and if so, would you do it again with Virgin Cruises?
