I’ve just started looking at Jetsetter’s “mystery” hotels lately, to see if it worth booking through them.

Today I researched their Hawaii mystery hotel in Maui, and found it to be a great deal, about 30% off of the regular price. The property? Ritz Carlton Kapalua.

Using sample dates of October 3-10, 2014, the price for Jetsetter’s regular guestrooms for $319, while the hotel’s website advertises $399.

The real steal is the Oceanview Guestrooms, which go for $439 a night on Jetsetter. The hotel’s website is offering the same rooms for $659 a night. The total for the Jetsetter booking came to $3549 including taxes, while the Ritz’s came to $5470.

The downside is that no cancellations, refunds or modifications are allowed with the Jetsetter booking, and payment is charged at the time of purchase. Booking directly with the hotel gives you the option to cancel without penalty close to arrival. But, what great savings on this property!
