After looking carefully at the calendar of blackout dates, I selected a random date of September 29 at the Bernardus Lodge & Spa in Carmel Valley CA.
A deposit was required but I was glad to see that the reservation was fully refundable until one week prior to check-in.
This is a good opportunity to get double stay credit plus a discounted rate. The only difficult part is matching up your travel plans with that of a hotel’s available dates and avoiding the blackout ones.
