The partnership that Sheraton has entered into with Major League Baseball (MLB) came as welcome news to fans everywhere. Now Sheraton has announced that starting in 2016 they will be offering free MLB TV for their guests!

This is great for fans who are traveling and don’t want to miss out on a game! Paying to stream via tablet is how some fans watch the games while traveling now, but starting in 2016 you can check in to a property, turn on the TV in you room and watch MLB games for free.

There will also be custom Starwood booking widgets on MLB.com so you can book Starwood hotels right online.

Note that the free MLB TV Network for guests in-house will only be offered in Sheraton properties in the United States.

In 2016, as part of the partnership SPG will also give members special behind the scenes batting practices with players, premium game tickets, Spring Training visits and meet & greets through SPG Moments where you can bid on special packages with Starpoints.

Also available at SPG Moments is the chance for SPG members to redeem Starpoints for pairs of tickets to each World Series game.

    1. Oh no, Don Diego! That’s so frustrating when you are trying to watch an important game and don’t have access. I wonder if you could do a free Direct TV trial on a tablet instead? Not the same, but maybe an option. I have also tried searching for free MLB access on YouTube before, but ended up on a site with a server that got overloaded every few minutes. For a game that is a big deal, those gaps could be excruciating. Hope you find a way to watch!
