Flash St. Patrick’s Day Sale Coupon – Hotels.com 10% Off

Today Hotels.com is running a flash sale with a 10% off coupon, good for hotel bookings made by 11:59pm MT today, March 17, 2017 for travel completed by July 31, 2017.

Packages including flights and such aren’t part of the sale. Most major hotel chains are excluded from the coupon use, and note that Hotels.com Rewards won’t be earned on the booking with the coupon.

The reservation must also be prepaid but if your plans are solid, this coupon might be worth using.

Even though the coupon won’t work for Marriotts and Hilton properties, it will work for Hyatt and Four Seasons properties.

As an example, the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea for a random mid-week night’s stay in April comes to $668 on Four Seasons’ website, which is the same as on Expedia, Travelocity, etc.

Using the coupon code via Hotels.com though, the total due drops almost $59.

If doing stays of several nights, the total amount saved will increase accordingly. A nice bonus is that it looks like even though the bookings are prepaid, free cancellation is offered for some reservations if done in the next several days.

Is this the best deal for the FS Maui for these dates? Maybe, maybe not. However, this is a good example that not all upscale properties are excluded from the sale.

This flash sale doesn’t require an individual code per user but is offered right on their website, and it is good for the first 35,000 bookings. There is a limit of one coupon per booking.

10% isn’t a ton off, but it does offer some savings. I hope some readers are able to take advantage of the offer today.

Update: Expedia.com is also offering a flash sale coupon for 17% off today (coupon code LUCKY17) but there is a minimum spend requirement of $400.
