Daily Getaways is back, and today is Day 1.

For those not familiar with Daily Getaways, over the last seven years the U.S. Travel Association has offered some great travel deals and packages on a first-come first-served basis. Past offers have included discounted loyalty points, savings on SeaWorld passes, savings on hotel nights in Vegas, car rentals, and so on.

Some of the offers are only mildly interesting, but some are great for those planning travels in the summertime as well as savvy travelers looking to maximize their options.

The fun this year starts today, when different travel deals go live each weekday at 1pm EST until May 12,
2017
.

Here is the snapshot of the calendar of deals for the first week (April 10) –

Today’s deal is for Alamo Car Rental certificates, where you get a $50 certificate for just $25 – half off. The certificate is good towards any vehicle, and is applied to the base rate (taxes and airport fees excluded). You can purchase up to three of the certificates and combine them when redeeming, but if you want to use multiples at once you’ll have to call to make the reservation.

  1. I got three of the vouchers from Alamo. I have used them before w/o issue, and sometimes they do stack with other codes; you just have to try.

  2. Looks like they posted all 5 weeks worth of getaways. Am i right to assume the Hertz & Hyatt points are the items again this year?

    1. You’re spot on, Shaun.

Although many will find value in some of the specific packages like SeaWorld tickets, the offers that I think have the best value are Hertz, Hyatt, Marriott eGiftcards, Fairmont, and today’s Alamo deal.

The trouble with the hot ticket items is that they are difficult to get, now that Daily Getaways has become more popular and there are limited quantities available. That doesn’t stop us from trying though… 🙂
