Starwood is out with a great offer, which allows you to purchase Starpoints at 35% off through June 30, 2017.

You can purchase up to 30,000 Starpoints per year, and your account must have been active for at least 14 days prior to purchasing.

Although you can purchase Starpoints in increments of 500, the 35% discount kicks in on purchases at 5,000 Starpoints and higher.

Maxing out the promo, you could purchase 30,000 Starpoints for just $682.50 instead of the standard $1050. That’s a whopping $367.50 saved, and you’d just be spending 2.275 cents per point as opposed to 3.5 cents at their regular points purchase rate.

Rather than simply hoarding the points, they could be redeemed for cash and points redemptions, or some of the most aspirational properties that Starwood has during their 35% off award redemption promotion.

With summer travels upon us and hotels often being much more expensive than during the off-season, points are also a great way to lower the cost of a long family trip, quick getaway, or even a one night stay somewhere. The timing of this promotion will be perfect for many.

Hello Summer!

This 35% off opportunity is a great deal not only for folks wanting more Starpoints, but also for those wanting to transfer their Starpoints to airline partners.

Points transfer at a 1:1 ratio to most airline partners, and for every 20,000 points you transfer over you’ll receive a 5,000 point bonus.

So if transferring over 20,000 Starpoints, you’d receive 25,000 miles with your chosen airline partner.

Although I already have a fairly healthy Starpoints balance in my account, this option to purchase at 35% off is definitely compelling since I have immediate plans to use them.

Will you be purchasing Starpoints for cheap this month?
