IHG Rewards Club has just announced another sale on the purchase of points, where you can get up to a 100% bonus between now and December 9, 2017.

This is the best purchase promotion that I’ve seen IHG Rewards Club offer, and those who loved the Daily Getaways deal earlier this year have been keep their eyes open for promotions just like these.

If you make a single transaction for 1,000 points you’ll pay the standard price of $13.50. If the purchase is for 5,000-14,000 points you’ll receive a 40% bonus. Purchasing 15,000 points or higher in a single transaction gets you a 100% bonus, which is obviously where you want to be to maximize your bonus.

The maximum number of points you can purchase per calendar year is 60,000. Assuming you haven’t purchased any already this year, here’s an example if you max out the promo –

60,000 purchased points plus 60,000 as the bonus (100% bonus) = 120,000 points for the cost of $690. That works out to just .575 cents per point.

When it comes to redeeming those points, an excellent option is to do so for just 5,000 for a night at one of IHG’s PointBreak properties. There are less of the high-end InterContinental properties showing up on the PointBreak lists these days, but there can still be some really good deals.

If you happen to have the IHG Rewards Credit Card, you also get a 10% points rebate on redemptions (up to 100,000 points each year) which makes the initial points purchase even less.

Here’s the link to IHG’s promotion to purchase points, though you’ll need to sign in to your account first. Note that the purchase is processed by Points.com so it may take up to 72 hours for the points to post, and won’t be counted as hotel spend by your credit card.

This 100% bonus is pretty much as good as it gets for IHG points purchase offers, so if you’ve been wanting to top up your account with a specific trip in mind, now is a great time to do so!
