Marriott Set to Open 40 Luxury Properties Across 8 Brands in 2018

Marriott International is planning to open almost 40 properties across 8 of their luxury brands in 2018, in a move that is geared towards the affluent traveler.

The eight brands are The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, St. Regis, W Hotels, The, Luxury Collection, EDITION, and JW Marriott.

Here’s where and when all the openings are slated to occur in 2018, along with links if available yet.

Ritz-Carlton

There are currently 94 Ritz-Carlton properties. There are 6 new hotels planning to open in 2018, 5 of which are up on the Ritz website –

• The Ritz-Carlton Jiuzhaigou, China
• The Ritz-Carlton Nanjing, China
• Zadun, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Los Cabos
• The Ritz-Carlton Tamuda Bay, Morocco
• The Ritz-Carlton Ras al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach, UAE

Renovations are planned in 2018 for The Ritz-Carlton Berlin and The Ritz-Carlton Istanbul.

St. Regis

St. Regis currently has 42 hotels, and 2 openings are planned for 2018 –

• St. Regis Cairo, Egypt (January 2018)
• St Regis Amman, Jordan (May 2018)

St. Regis Rome will undergo renovations in 2018.

W Hotels

On track to reach 75 hotels by 2020, W Hotels will open the following 8 properties in 2018 –

• W Tel Aviv-Jaffe, Israel (March 2018)
• W Dubai – The Palm, UAE (June 2018)
• W Brisbane, Australia (March 2018)
• W Panama, Panama (January 2018)
• W Muscat, Oman (May 2018)
• W Kuala Lumpur (May 2018)
• W Kanai Retreat, Riviera Maya, Mexico (December 2018)
• W Amman, Jordan (January 2018)

EDITION

EDITION is slated to have 20 properties by 2020. 7 new properties opening in 2018 are on their website –

• Shanghai EDITION, China
• Bangkok EDITION, Thailand
• Bodrum EDITION, Turkey

• Abu Dhabi EDITION, UAE
• Times Square EDITION, New York
• West Hollywood EDITION, California

The Luxury Collection

The Luxury Collection has 102 hotels in their portfolio, with 12 openings planned in 2018. Here are 6 of the planned 2018 openings –

• Perry Lane Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Savannah, Georgia (March 2018)

• The Langley, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom (June 2018)
• The Tasman, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia (December 2018)

JW Marriott

JW Marriott currently has 79 properties. Coming soon are Nashville, and the Maldives. Renovations coming for the JW Marriott Bangkok and Grosvenor House, and JW Marriott Hotel.
