Enter Day 2 of Magic of Miles’ 12 Days of Giveaways
Earlier today I wrote about some pretty incredible gingerbread displays that hotels have created this year.
I love to look at all the huge edible displays that hotels show off each year. Sometimes there is a line, but as a hotel guest you can often get up close to gaze in wonder at all that sugar after daytime gawkers have departed. Some hotels even have dedicated hours or days for daytime visitors, like the Omni Grove Park Inn so that hotel guests have priority when they are most likely to stay at the property.
At home, I also make make my own gingerbread cookies but am definitely not in the league of the massive display bakers!
Today is Day 2 of Magic of Miles 12 Days of Giveaways.
To enter today’s contest for a chance at some goodies, let me know in the comments below if you have seen any neat gingerbread houses in hotels, if you make gingerbread cookies during the holidays, or that you’d be excited to win today’s contest.
If you’re just joining with Day 2 of the Magic of Miles 12 Days of Giveaways, the prizes in the contest are pretty exciting. They include a couple GoGo Internet 25 use passes, USPS boxes stuffed with first class airline pajamas and other travel swag, and more!
Today’s Magic of Miles contest ends at 9pm PST tonight so get those entries in. Click here to read full contest details, and good luck!
I have a Finnish friend whose family makes and decorates gingerbread houses every year before Christmas. Then on New Years eave they take them outside and smash them with big sticks. I would like to say this is a national Finnish tradition, but I think they just do it for fun and as a personal family tradition.
I have only tried to make a gingerbread house from scratch once. It was a failure. At least it was an edible failure unlike the boxed kits which usually turn out okay but you probably wouldn’t want to eat one.
would love to win the gogo passes
I haven’t been out much to see any but I am babysitting next week and taking the kids to IKEA to an activity workshop where they will make Gingerbread houses. A kid’s meal is included. All for a low price of $10 each (I had to buy the tickets in advance.)
