My ears perked up when I heard Arne Sorenson, President & CEO of Marriott International speak a little on why Starwood.
Free smartphone? Sounds like a great option for those that want to get a teenager or family member a phone as a present, or get a second one for themselves.
The guest rooms will be between 350 and 500 square feet and clustered together in groups of six to create bungalow-style lodging. I like that the rooms will reportedly also have two private terraces, with some including outdoor showers.
While at the hotels, he’d buy more things online using the hotels’ computers and apply for even more credit cards.
Hyatt properties are not required to offer Cash & Points rates, though most do. This new transparency will help us figure out which hotels offer it and which do not, so we don’t spin our wheels hoping for an available date when there are none.

This last part about unlimited devices sounds great too. I find it frustrating when I’m traveling with my husband and we have a handful of devices between us but only 3 devices can be connected at the same time.

I don’t really like having to make the agents check several different dates or multiple properties and then call back to try something different. Also, if I have my eye on a particular property there is no way to tell if suddenly a day or two has suddenly become available without calling in frequently or just getting lucky with the dates.
The numbers are not surprising to me as I typically find booking via laptop is convenient while traveling or at home. Most phone apps I find a bit too clunky for my taste, and I rarely reach for my iPad.
